DC Clean Energy Act
The act requires the use of Energy Star software to disclose annual energy performance.
Who is affected?
- Private, non-residential buildings located in Washington, D.C.
- 200,000 sf buildings must begin using the software this year
- Each subsequent year, size threshold decreases by 50,000 sf until reaching 50,000 sf in 2013
- The energy performance disclosures begin in 2012 and require posting of Energy Star Statement of Performance
