DC Clean Energy Act

The act requires the use of Energy Star software to disclose annual energy performance.

Who is affected?

  • Private, non-residential buildings located in Washington, D.C.
  • 200,000 sf buildings must begin using the software this year
  • Each subsequent year, size threshold decreases by 50,000 sf until reaching 50,000 sf in 2013
  • The energy performance disclosures begin in 2012 and require posting of Energy Star Statement of Performance

Boland's energy analysis software can show you how to lower energy performance from a total building system approach. Call us today for more information.
