Gaithersburg MD, May 30, 2018 – Boland (boland.com), a leading intelligent building technology and energy services provider, has landed in the top five on the Washington Business Journal’s Best Place to Work for 2018. The award marks ten years that Boland has received the Washington Business Journal recognition

Proud to earn the #4 Spot of Best Places to Work

“This year, Boland was not only named a Best Place to Work, but we also earned the #4 spot among extra-large companies,” said Jim Boland, president. “My father would be pleased to know that we are continuing to build on his vision of growing and investing in our team members to construct a community of experts.”

The Best Places to Work Award, a recognition program of the Washington Business Journal, acknowledges DC-based companies that do an exceptional job of providing a friendly and stimulating work environment for their employees. Employees of nominated companies receive a link to a survey - the results of which are captured and evaluated based on employee opinions regarding their environment and leadership.

“We have always known that our people are our greatest asset. Our team of professionals fully embody the Boland motto ‘We are Not Comfortable Until You Are’ by delivering best-in-class service to our clients day in and day out,” said Sarah Heitkemper, vice president of human resources. “They are involved in the betterment of our community, and they contribute to our family environment that cultivates careers, inspires growth, and strives for innovation.”

As of today, more than 70% of our associates have earned professional accreditation, offering our clients innovative solutions. They are true masters of the HVAC industry.”
