New legislation gives priority to county government contracts to businesses located in the county!
"This Article is intended to bolster the County’s economic growth and support the creation and retention of employment opportunities within the County by establishing a ten percent (10%) preference for the award of a County contract to a County-based business. "
Benefits include:
10% bid adjustment on evaluations and awards only to local business
Up to $200,000 addition on local business contracts
Law is slated to go into effect August 1.
